MultiLing Opens New Office in China

MultiLing Corp. announces the opening of its first office in China. The new office is located in Tianjin, which is the sixth largest city in China. As a harbor city with a freight handling capacity of 400 million tons, Tianjin is one of China’s economic hotspots. It is governed directly by the Peking authorities and therefore has the same status as a Chinese Province. More than 280 of the Fortune Global 500 companies have established branches in the Binhai New Area of Tianjin (TBNA), which is 30 minutes from Beijing by high-speed train.
MultiLing’s new office is operated by 6 full-time employees and a number of contractors whose aim is to support MultiLing’s multinational clients who are experiencing increased demands for Chinese language translations.

“Due to the fast growing economy in China, we clearly felt a need to improve our capabilities in this key market by opening a representation office”, says Michael Sneddon, CEO of MultiLing. “With our existing offices in Japan and Korea, MultiLing has established a strong presence in Asia, with an office within each of the most dynamic economies in the region. Not only will our new China office increase our capabilities in the English/Chinese language pair. It will also contribute to serve the needs of our Asian clients to communicate with the world.”

From its headquarters in Provo, Utah, MultiLing operates worldwide in six wholly owned subsidiaries located in Peru, Germany, Italy, Korea, Japan and China.
