UNAIDS

Around 15,000 participants attended the 25th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2024) at the Munich exhibition grounds from 22 July onwards. AIDS 2024 brought together thousands of people who are living with HIV, affected by HIV and working to end it, to exchange knowledge, best practices and lessons from the HIV response of the last 40 years and from health threats such as COVID-19 and MPOX. UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, presented its annual Global Report to international press representatives. WORDUP PR was commissioned by the Geneva-based organization to prepare and organize the hybrid press conference in Munich. In addition, the WORDUP PR team also supported the UNAIDS communications experts with press management before, during and after the press conference.

Following earlier, successfully completed projects for the German Federal Government and the European Patent Office, the United Nations was the third major governmental or supranational client to be substantially supported by WORDUP PR. In planning and carrying out this flagship event, several years of experience with technically demanding yet high-quality hybrid formats proved especially valuable.
