Accompanying the German Culture Prize 2025
In August, the Munich-based Stiftung Kulturförderung commissioned the agency WORDUP PR to provide comprehensive PR support for the German Culture Prize 2025.
Stiftung Kulturförderung was founded in 1985 by Munich-based publisher Roland Wolf. The foundation’s primary objective is to award the German Culture Prize to individuals, institutions, or as start-up funding. The German Culture Prize has been awarded at irregular intervals since 1985. The main prize is endowed with up to €30,000; an honorary prize with a limited or unfunded endowment is also awarded. The prize is presented in two categories: one focuses on culture in all its forms; the other focuses on nature in all its diversity. Well-known winners include Klaus Töpfer, Daniel Barenboim, Dennis L. Meadows, Sir Peter Ustinov, Silvia of Sweden, and August Everding.
The next award ceremony will take place in November in the presence of around 200 invited guests at the Bayerischer Hof Hotel in Munich.
WORDUP PR was commissioned with the relaunch of the website, the design and management of all invitation processes, and the accompanying public relations work for the two renowned award winners. The agency is thus building on previous, successful assignments in the field of award ceremonies (Rudolf Diesel Medal) and for foundations (Dr. Pfleger Foundation, Lauterbacher Mühle Foundation, Karl Böhm Foundation for the Promotion of Highly Gifted Musicians).
“We are delighted to be working for a foundation rich in tradition that combines two central focuses that cannot be given enough attention in the current climate: promoting culture and preserving nature,” commented WORDUP Managing Director Achim von Michel.
