SpaceNet

The Munich-based internet service provider SpaceNet AG helps IT managers and executives build a strong and resilient corporate IT, keep it running and develop it strategically. One focus lies on consulting and implementing IT security solutions and business continuity management. SpaceNet offers companies managed IT services, individual support for non-standard applications, 7×24 service, personal consulting and secure cloud services such as the collaboration tool Zamadama and the video conferencing system VCT.

SpaceNet is one of the internet pioneers of the industry and was founded in 1993 by today’s CEO Sebastian von Bomhard, who has led it ever since, now together with Sebastian Cler, Ingo Lalla and Karin Schuler. The Munich company has over 120 employees. Since 1998, SpaceNet has placed great emphasis on training and has been repeatedly recognized, among other things with the IHK training company certificate. SpaceNet serves around 1,200 companies such as Antenne Bayern and the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV). For many years, SpaceNet AG has been active in internet policy and most recently succeeded with its six-year lawsuit against the controversial data retention. In autumn 2022, the European Court of Justice, in its widely noted „SpaceNet ruling“, overturned the indiscriminate and blanket retention of data. The SpaceNet corporate family includes brück IT GmbH, a system house specializing in services and software for lawyers.

SpaceNet AG operates its cloud and IT services in several redundant high-security data centers in Munich. SpaceNet AG is certified to the ISO 27001 security standard and works according to ITIL. As a PR agency specializing in information technology (IT), WORDUP has already advised numerous clients from this market segment, including Ray Sono, NetApp, Smapper Technologies, American Power Conversion (APC) and SimpliVity.
