Integrated political and media campaign: #redalert for event organizers

Hardly any other industry is suffering as much from the consequences of the corona crisis as the event industry. As the sixth largest industry in Germany and even the second largest in Bavaria, it is responsible for over one million jobs and generates nationwide sales of over 130 billion euros.

In cooperation with the Bundesverband Mittelständische Wirtschaft eV (BVMW), WORDUP PR has developed an integrated political and media campaign over the past few weeks to draw the attention of political decision-makers, media representatives and society at large to this important economic segment that is facing dramatic developments stands.

It all started with an article in the Mittelbayerische Zeitung (“Whole branch before the end”), which you can access HERE. WORDUP PR managing director Achim von Michel describes in the guest contribution the enormous challenges that the entire industry is currently facing.

The social media platforms were also used extensively: Several social media motifs from the nationwide campaign #redalert, which had already been launched, as well as our own visual and implementations and a film documentation of the ministry visit optimized for social media (HERE) led to several thousand reactions on LinkedIn , Facebook, Instagram, and Xing in a very short time and gave the campaign an additional boost.

It is now to be hoped that the central demands of the industry will be heard by politicians and implemented in the form of concrete support.
